Keep track of your notes with Evernote application & service.
In my previous blog post I mentioned Journaler as an application for keeping your notes and ideas organized. While I still believe its very powerful it lacks one important feature, namely online synchronization. Quite often I want to write down some things that occur to me at home and then review them at work or vice versa. That's the way I am writing this very blog post - started at work and finishing back home.
The solution to synchronization problem is Evernote application/service. It has clients for Window, Mac OS X, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Web interface and mobile web version. All your notes are stored on the server. The have title, body with rich formating, tags, url. Thats not it. Notes can have pictures or even audio recordings. One of the killer features is server side OCR. Once you upload a not which contains some graphics it will attempt to recognize the text and index it. It can even hilight the area on the picture which contains your search terms!
The service comes in free and premium versions. Free users are entitled to 40mb upload bandwith per month and their OCR is not guaranteed.
Long story short, I absolutely love this tool. Just what I've been looking for so long!
